Oceans Alive have programmes and toolkits designed to improve the capacity of the communities they work with to strengthen the sustainable management of marine resources.

 

We recently completed a SAGE (Site Assessment of Governance and Equity) with the stakeholders who manage the Kuruwitu Co-Managed Area. The process highlighted strengths and weaknesses and gave us insight into where to target our support.

 

In conjunction with IUCN and CORDIO, Oceans Alive conducted the first-ever marine SAGE process in the world.
